Try this super cute and easy Valentine Heart Pop Up Card! It takes just minutes to make and gives a plain card a fun 3D effect! You can easily make several of these in no time flat for friends, classmates, and lots more!

Materials:
- 2 full sheets of construction paper in two colors
- 1 scrap piece of construction paper for the center heart
- Scissors
- Pen or pencil
- Tape or glue
Sizing:
- Finished card as shown is half the size of a sheet of construction paper.
Instructions:
- Fold both sheets of construction paper in half.
- Choose which color will be the outside of the card and what will be the inside.
- For the inside sheet, trim edges about 1/2 to inch. This will give the card a nice, finished looking border.
- On the inside sheet, with fold on the left, add a small center dot. Do not cut anything beyond this point.
- With the fold still on the left, draw a half heart shape, being careful not to go beyond the center dot of the paper.
- Add two small marks as shown below. In between these two marks is the area which you do NOT cut.
- You can see all of the marks and placements in the diagram below.
- Next, cut along the lines of the heart, leaving the area in between the marks uncut.
- Open the paper up and glue it down to the outside sheet.
- Important! Do NOT glue or tape the center heart down! Only glue around it.
- Place in the center of the outside sheet.
- Fold the center heart so that the crease is folded outward (opposite of the way the card is folded)
- Also, crease the sides of the heart inward where you left it uncut.
- Cut a second, smaller heart out of the scrap paper (contrasting color works best for the best effect) and glue/tape to the center of the heart.
- Close the entire card and recreate all of the folds, reinforcing their sharpness.
- If you used glue, allow to dry completely.
- Decorate it any way you like!
