Materials:
- Plastic eggs (any size and shape is ok, as long as they can be opened up)
- Plastic beads (alternatively you could also use rice, dry beans, wood beads, paper clips, small metal washers, different dry pasta shapes, bottle caps and tabs, marbles, and so much more!)
- Washi Tape (if you don’t have wash tape, try masking tape, clear gift wrap tape, painter’s tape, or even narrow duct tape too!)
Project Notes:
- Try different fillings (ideas above) to experiment with different sounds.
- Try larger and smaller eggs for more sound variety too!
- Pair this craft up with a sound activity or conduct an experiment of what happens to sound when you change the filling, amount of filling, size of egg, etc)

Instructions:
- Grab an egg and pop it open.
- Fill with a few pinches of beads (or filling of your choice, see materials list above)
- Close the egg then tape closed. I used decorative washi tape, but any tape will do (see above for ideas)
- Finished! Make a few with different amounts of beads for different sounds. Also makes a great music activity too!
