Easy Pumpkin Button Craft

Materials: 

  • Orange buttons of various sizes
  • Green pipe cleaner (I used a 12 inch pipe cleaner)
  • Wire cutters or old scissors

Project Notes:

  • This is a great way to use up some old buttons, try making some in unique colors too!
  • You can use a regular pipe cleaner or try a glittery metallic one too! (see below to see both looks)

Easy Pumpkin Button Craft

Instructions:

  • It helps to lay out the buttons first to kind of plan them out.
  • Line the buttons up with the bigger ones in the middle and smaller ones at either end.
  • For the two pumpkins shown in the photo above, I did 2 small, 2 medium, and 2 large. However, you can experiment with what you have on hand to create a variety of pumpkins sizes and shapes.
  • Bend a pipe cleaner into the shape of a “U”
  • Add buttons to the pipe cleaner using both ends, sliding each one down to the bottom of the “U” shape.
  • When all of the buttons have been added, twist up the top for as tall as you want your stem to be.
  • Snip the pipe cleaner ends, leaving a twisted stem.
  • Bend the stem into a curvy shape as shown in the photo above.
  • Done!
