Instructions to make an easy Hand Sewn Pumpkin Craft:
- Begin by cutting a piece of fabric 8.5 inches by 5.5 inches.
- Fold in half.
- With the fold on the bottom, seam up the top edge with a running stitch.
- Open up the tube and work a running stitch all along the top edge of one of the ends.
- Cinch closed and sew the opening shut.
- Turn right side out and stuff the inside.
- Seam the top edge of the other end with a running stitch.
- Cinch closed and sew the opening shut.
- With a tapestry/yarn needle and embroidery floss, create “segments” in the pumpkin, going in through the top, around the pumpkin and back into the bottom of the pumpkin. Repeat until you have about 5-6 segments, then fasten off with a strong knot.
- Cut a cinnamon stick in half and glue to center.
- If you like you can tie a small length of ribbon around the stem.
- Let glue dry and it is ready to use!
