Project Notes:
- Try using different kinds of paper for a variety of effects! This is a great project to repurpose old magazines, craft paper scraps, origami paper, and just about anything else you can think of!
- These paper chains make a beautiful garland, but you can try using it for a fun Valentine’s Day countdown calendar too!

Instructions:
- Cut paper strips lengthwise about 1 inch wide.
- You can stack a few sheets of paper to make the cutting process quicker.
- Fold each strip in half.
- Grab the first folded strip and place a staple at the fold.
- Grab the two ends at the opposite side and flip it over, then bring it together at the bottom, creating a heart shape.
- Hold the bottom point of the heart and grab a second strip. Open it up a bit and place the opened fold up against the bottom heart point.
- Staple at the fold though all 4 sheets of paper,
- Next grab the two ends of the bottom strip and bring together to make the second heart point. Grab a second strip. Open it up a bit and place the opened fold up against the bottom heart point.
- Repeat this process until your garland is as long as you want it or until you run out of strips.
- For the last heart, simply staple the two strip ends together, creating the last heart point.
