Welcome the season with this adorable winter mitten garland craft! A cute variation on a handprint craft, you can make this in minutes! This is a great project for adding some winter cheer to your home, decorating a classroom, or even a fun crafternoon idea!

Materials:
- Construction paper in fun colors
- Cotton balls (about 3 per mitten)
- A piece of yarn cut to the length of the size garland you want
- Glue (regular school glue or hot glue)
- Pen or pencil for tracing the hand
- Tape for attaching mittens to the yarn for the garland (glue works too!)
Sizing:
- Each mitten is about 6 inches tall depending on the size of the hand you trace.
- Garland can be customized by adding more/less mittens to the yarn strand. Garland shown has 5 mittens, but you can make yours have as many as you like!

Project Notes:
- Try using scraps of paper to create mittens that might otherwise be thrown away!
- Personalize the mittens by coloring designs on them or adding stickers or other embellishments too!

Mitten Instructions:
- Trace your hand on a piece of paper. Be sure to keep your fingers together and your thumb extended straight out for the full mitten look.
- Cut the mitten out with scissors.
- Trim as needed (I rounded the top of mine a bit for a nicer shape but it is totally optional)
- Glue a few cotton balls along the wrist area as shown. (I used three per mitten)
- Let dry for several hours or overnight.
- Tape or glue mittens to yarn strand and hang!
