This egg carton flower wreath craft is an adorable project to make that uses some simple recycled materials to make a pretty addition to your springy decor! A simple egg carton is cut apart and painted in vibrant colors, then attached to a recycled cardboard wreath ring form. Decorate the flowers any way you like, making each wreath beautiful and unique!

Materials:
- Scrap piece of cardboard about 8 inches wide for the wreath form (you can use cardboard from a shipping box, cereal box, shoe box, etc.)
- Cardboard egg carton (a styrofoam egg carton might work too, but some paints may not stick to the surface as well)
- Glue (I used hot glue but you can use school glue or craft glue too)
- Craft or acrylic paint in colors of your choice (I used green for the wreath form and yellow, pink, purple, and blue for the flowers)
- Paintbrush
- Pom poms, buttons, sequins or other fun embellishments for the flower centers
Sizing:
- Finished wreath is about 9 inches wide.
- Wreath form (before adding flowers is about 8 inches wide)

Project Notes:
- Try different things to embellish your flowers after painting. I used pom poms but you can use buttons, sequins, beads or anything else you have.

Instructions:
- Cut cardboard into a ring.
- Paint the front of it green and let dry.
- Cut the lid and front flap off of the egg carton.
- Cut apart the bottom of the carton so each egg cup is separate.
- Trim sides of each cup as needed to neaten them up.
- Cut four slits around the cup to create petals.
- Bend them outward slightly to open them up a bit.
- Paint each flower, mixing up the colors. For the 12 egg cups, I used four colors (pink, yellow, purple, and blue), painting three flowers for each color.
- Let paint on the flower dry completely.
- Each flower is two layers. Divide 12 flowers in half, 6 for the bottom flower layers, 6 for top flower layers.
- Begin by gluing the bottom flower layers around the wreath form, evenly spaced and mixing up the colors so no two of the same color is side by side.
- Next, glue the top layer of flowers, again mixing up the colors.
- Glue embellishments to center of each flower. I used glittery pom poms but you can use anything you like! See above for more ideas.
- Allow glue and paint to dry completely before hanging and your wreath is complete!
