Project Notes:

  • You can draw on the shirt to give it a personalized touch! Try drawing stripes, flowers, or polka dots onto the shirt with crayons or markers.
  • Embellishments are also super fun to add and they make every card unique! Try buttons (like the cards shown) sequins, Pom poms, ribbon and more!

Father's Day Tie Card Craft

Instructions:

  • Begin by folding a piece of construction paper in half.
  • Next, grab the second sheet and cut out a rectangle about 4 inches wide and 6 inches tall.
  • At the top of the rectangle make two cuts about 1 inch down and 1.5 inches inward.
  • Fold the two tabs inward to make a “collar”
  • Next, to make the tie, flip origami/gift wrap over to the blank side and draw a tie shape onto it (need some help, check out the video where I show exactly how to draw it).
  • Cut out the tie and glue it to the from of the shirt, tucking it just under the collar.
  • Glue the collar down and glue a button to each collar point.
  • Glue shirt to the from of the card.
  • Let the glue dry overnight.
  • When glue is dry, you can write messages in the card and then gift it to someone special!
