Instructions:

  • Using a pair of wire cutters, trim a bamboo skewer to desired length and set aside. Be sure to keep the pointy tip intact at one end.
  • Pull apart 6 colorful cupcake liners, plus one green liner and flatten them out.
  • Stack the 6 cupcake liners in the color of your choice and add a green one too if you want greenery leaves (as shown).
  • Fold the stack in half, then in half again, then in half one more time.
  • Trim the top edge of the folded stack into a rounded edge so it resembles a teardrop shape.
  • Place a hot glue blob at the non point end of the skewer.
  • Working color side down, poke a hole in the center of a cupcake liner and slide upward, scrunching it around the other end where the glue blob is to anchor it into place. Let the glue cool for a minute to create a nice, sturdy base for your flower.
  • Continue adding more cupcake liners to the skewer, anchoring each one with a glue blog.
  • Repeat until all 6 flower petal (color) liners have been added.
  • Finish up with the green cupcake liner last.
  • Let the flower completely cool and dry.
  • Done! Use for a cake or cupcake topper, festive skewer, drink decor and more!
