Make this button paperclip bookmark craft in just minutes using simple materials! A super cute way to mark your spot in a favorite book, but also cute as a book club activity too! Give one to a book lover or your favorite librarian too!

Button Paperclip Bookmark Craft

Materials: 

  • Buttons of various colors and sizes (I used bright plastic, but you can use shell, wood, glittery, glow in the dark, vintage, and just about anything else)
  • Paperclips (large or small, silver metal or multicolor, your choice!)
  • Hot glue or craft glue

Sizing:

  • About 2 inches tall (sizing may vary based on size of paperclips and buttons used)

Project Notes:

  • For extra pops of color, try layering multiple buttons like the ones pictured. You can get really creative and mix the colors up to make them extra fun.
  • I used standard sized paper clips, but you can use larger paperclips too!
  • These bookmarks make great gifts to give along with a book or as a class or book club activity too!

Instructions:

  • Glue a paperclip to the back of a button. Be sure the “loops” of the paper clip are pointing downward. If it gets glued upside down, it won’t clip to the book pages correctly.
  • I found that if you lay everything out, especially if you are making a bunch of them, it makes the assembly process a little easier and quicker.
  • If you like, you can glue a second smaller button to the top for an extra pop of color and texture.
