If you need a quick, easy, and inexpensive spooky Halloween wreath craft this season, this is it! This creepy Halloween wreath can be made in no time flat, with the items found at the dollar store! I love the glittery purple and black theme, but you can make yours in any spooky look you like! Try some optional purple lights too for an extra spooky effect, especially at night!
Materials:
- 12 inch wreath form (I used a metal form, but styrofoam or even a scrap of cardboard cut into a ring shape will work well too)
- 6 Halloween themed floral picks (I found these at the dollar store, these were extra fun for my spooky theme! See what you can find that fits in with your spooky theme! See below for more ideas)
- Hot glue
- Wire cutters
- Small string of matching lights (optional)
Sizing:
- Wreath form is 12 inches wide.
- Decorated and full finished wreath is about 18 inches wide.

Project Ideas & Variations:
- I used glitter pumpkins and skulls for the wreath shown here, but try other spooky items such as bats, witches, monsters, and more! You can also add things like spiderwebs and spiders to the center.
- Not into Halloween? Try a fall or harvest themed wreath instead with fall leaves, sunflowers, pumpkins, and anything else you can find!

Instructions to Make a Spooky Halloween Wreath Craft:
- To begin, cut apart the floral picks with a pair of wire cutters. Cut apart each element (leaves, flowers, branches, pumpkins, etc)
- Cutting everything apart will give you the most control over your item placement.
- While cutting, plug in your glue gun so it can warm up during this time and be ready to go.
- Place a protective mat or scrap paper on your surface to protect it from the hot glue and keep it from being glued to your surface as well.
- I find it is helpful to do a dry run of the wreath items before gluing them down. Be sure to spread all of the colors you’re using evenly around the wreath.
- Once you are satisfied with how you want it begin gluing items to the wreath.
- Work in layers, starting with the leaves and flowers to cover the form first.
- Next add the larger focal point elements. For the wreath shown this part was the glitter pumpkins and skulls.
- After that, add the smaller items (for the wreath shown this was the smaller glitter balls and the small branches) Use these smaller items to fill in any holes or areas where you need a pop of color and/or detail.
- When you’re finished, allow the hot glue to completely cool and dry.
- If you want, add a strand of lights to give it an extra spooky glow. Be sure all hot glue is cool/dry before adding lights. Adding them too soon while the glue is still hot can melt the wires, making it unsafe.
