Make some easy pocket Valentines! I just love the idea of tucking a little Valentine into a pocket, lunch, or backpack to surprise someone special! The idea that someone special is going about their day and discovers a cute little heart makes me smile. Make a few of these hearts for Valentine’s week and see how many they can find! This would also make a fun scavenger hunt item too. Be sure to make a few extra to keep on hand throughout the year too for fun surprises all year long!
What can I use these hearts for?
- Place in a lunch, purse, backpack and more for a fun surprise!
- Glue to a card to a fun 3D embellishment,
- Make one for all of your friends and pass out as a cute handmade Valentine,
- Hide them around your home for a Valentine’s Day scavenger hunt!
- String some onto a piece of ribbon for a happy little garland,
- Add one to a string or piece of yarn for a quick Valentine’s Day necklace or bracelet!
Here’s what you’ll need to make Easy Pocket Valentines:
- Plastic fuse beads (also commonly known as Perler beads)
- Small pegboards (no special shape required) I found that the heart shaped and square shaped boards worked very well because of the easy to see point at the bottom for the best heart shape.
- Iron
- Ironing Paper
